Knowing a bit about you, your project and your plans and aspirations can help me bring out the best in the music you bring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you&#8217;re comfortable doing so, send your files by <a href=\"https:\/\/wetransfer.com\">WeTransfer<\/a>, Dropbox or the file sharing service of your choice to the address in the response email and <strong> hear what I can do\u2014<em>no obligation<\/em><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best practices:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Files should be <strong>at least 44.1 kHz <\/strong>and <strong>24 bit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WAV <\/strong>or <strong>AIFF <\/strong>are the standard file types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For mixing:<\/strong> please label your tracks (aka &#8220;stems&#8221;) clearly, and export (&#8220;render,&#8221; &#8220;bounce them out&#8221;) <em>at equal length\u2014the length of the entire song<\/em>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For mastering: <\/strong>stereo mix files <em>should <\/em>provide about <strong>6dB <\/strong>of headroom (<em>i.e., peak <\/em>at <em>-6dB<\/em>). Don&#8217;t worry if you&#8217;re not sure.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please leave us some room at the beginning and end of songs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please name your files clearly and consistently. An example format:&nbsp;<code>artist-0x-songname-[mix|rough|etc]<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>We strongly encourage you to include references <\/em>and\/or first-masters (sometimes called&nbsp;<em>rough&nbsp;<\/em>masters). A reference isn&#8217;t a song I try to make yours sound like. It&#8217;s a production standard I&#8217;ll target. When your music appears on the same playlist as your references it will fit right in. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Arrange a project meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get in touch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the form above or below. This is the first step to arranging a GuitarFaces mix or master. With this information I&#8217;ll know what to discuss when I contact you. You can send the file or files in question as soon as you receive the email reply, or wait until after we talk. I like to meet local musicians in person, especially at a show, or by Zoom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Payment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mastering is CAD $99 for a single. Inquire for pricing of albums and EPs intended for release on CD or vinyl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s no obligation and no money changes hands until you&#8217;ve heard what I can do and told me to go ahead and do it. Full payment is expected on acceptance of a final master or mix, and precedes delivery.
